1. Saint-Jean de Luz
St Jean de Luz is a beautiful seaside town on the Spanish-French border. Here, you can find a beautiful and clean beach with a sea of ??blue sea.
In this region there is also an interesting village of Aquitaine which is just minutes from Spain and close to the Pyrenees. The village is in the heart of Basque and is filled with unique Basque architecture. Here you can find shops, markets and cafes in the city, but still a relatively small city.
2. Villefranche sur Mer
Just minutes from Nice, this white sandy beach is actually less quiet and crowded with tourists plus there are only a few shops and cafes here. Nevertheless, sunbathing here is great with its nice sunshine.
Meanwhile at the top of the beach you can see the weaving houses and fun markets. You are also always easy to go to Nice. It only takes five minutes to get there by train.
3. La Grande Motte
This beach is located not far from the beautiful capital, Montpellier. This beach resort offers exciting things to do like water sports, nature climbing (with more than 10 miles of pedestrian paths), and great spots for a few day trips.
You can take the kids to the water park, play golf or play tennis. Take also a trip to the Camargue to see flamingos, white horses or black ox.
4. Ferret Cap
This beautiful peninsula is near the coast of Bordeaux. This is a great destination if you want to get away from any routine. Here you can relax on a quiet beach, enjoy surfing, fishing or swimming. Most hotels here are two stars, but here are also some camping spots.
5.Sete
Sete is a beautiful fishing village full of museums, historic buildings and of course a charming beach. The houses on the harbor are painted with brightly colored lines making it a great place to take pictures.
Besides the beach, you can also visit Mont Saint Clair to see the stunning panoramic views of the city and the sea. This is a great travel base for visits to Agde, Montpellier, Beziers and Nimes.
6. Argeles sur Mer
Argeles sur Mer has a comfortable and relaxing beach atmosphere and has a cute downtown with cafes and shops. The famous French coastline of Vermeille (Red Coast) is here.
